Washington, D.C. — In a powerful year-end report, U.S. Attorney General John Roberts sounded the alarm on the growing threat to the U.S. justice system. He expressed concern about growing violence, misinformation and public pressure to ignore court decisions.

Roberts emphasized that while disputes over court decisions are natural, attacks on judges and reckless rhetoric by officials can lead to real dangers. He noted that more than 1,000 serious threats against judges have been investigated in recent years.

The Chief Justice called on Americans to protect the rule of law, reminding them that a strong and independent judiciary is the foundation of democracy.
